The CII CSR FELLOW PROGRAMME is for professionals working in companies and their foundations. It is a unique programme in India to provide a mix of experiential learning and theoretical knowledge. Participants gain experiential learning through immersion and learning mission in a challenging/ realistic rural setup along with technical knowledge on CSR imparted through customised modules. Theoretical knowledge will be by webinars and practical work through continuous job-related assignments. This results in the un-learning and re-learning process which acts as an input to make participants more competent for better implementation and impact of their projects.

This refers to the field engagement, 10 days for Cohort I and 5 days for Cohort II inclusive of travel dates where participants will be exposed to a challenging situation in remote areas in the Western Ghats and arid regions of Gujarat. The participants are expected to stay in a basic facility with the community to observe and understand the local context and situations related to their daily life and learn from them.

Learning Mission

This refers to another field engagement for 3 days before the end of the programme for both Cohort I & II. A site which has successfully implemented a project will be identified and participants will supplement their learning from the field to identify the gaps and provide relevant suggestions and inputs of that existing project. Participants will be informed regarding site details later. During these engagements, each Cohort will be divided into groups consisting of 10 participants. Each group will visit different projects at separate locations. CII Fellow Programme team will work with participants throughout.

Practice and Certification

Participants will be engaged in practical work through continuous job-related assignments after completion of the immersion. They will submit practical work reports, in the 16th week of the programme based on the specific modules that would be covered. The format structure for the project report will be shared by CII.

The faculty will provide guidance to the participants at the time of practical work. The project reports will be analysed by them and feedback will be provided to further improve the social impact of their organisation. Participants who successfully complete the programme will be provided a certificate of participation by CII.
